Sahih Bukhari Book: 25, Hadith: 1646

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى رَجُلاً يَطُوفُ بِالْكَعْبَةِ بِزِمَامٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ فَقَطَعَهُ‏.‏ Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet saw a man performing Tawaf of the Ka`ba tied with a string or something else. So the Prophet cut that string.
