حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا بَيَانٌ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ كَانَ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ ذُو الْخَلَصَةِ وَالْكَعْبَةُ الْيَمَانِيَةُ وَالْكَعْبَةُ الشَّأْمِيَّةُ، فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
“‏ أَلاَ تُرِيحُنِي مِنْ ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ ‏”‏‏.‏ فَنَفَرْتُ فِي مِائَةٍ وَخَمْسِينَ رَاكِبًا، فَكَسَرْنَاهُ وَقَتَلْنَا مَنْ وَجَدْنَا عِنْدَهُ، فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ، فَدَعَا لَنَا وَلأَحْمَسَ‏.‏

Narrated Jarir: In the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance there was a house called Dhu-l-Khalasa or Al-Ka`ba Al- Yamaniya or Al-Ka`ba Ash-Shamiya. The Prophet said to me, “Won’t you relieve me from Dhu-l- Khalasa?” So I set out with one-hundred-and-fifty riders, and we dismantled it and killed whoever was present there. Then I came to the Prophet and informed him, and he invoked good upon us and Al- Ahmas (tribe) .
