Sahih Bukhari Book: 77, Hadith: 5954

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ انْهَكُوا الشَّوَارِبَ، وَأَعْفُوا اللِّحَى ‏”‏‏.‏ Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah’s Apostle said, “Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it is).
