وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ، – وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَرْمَلَةَ – أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ لاَ تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ لِتَمْنَعُوا بِهِ الْكَلأَ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:Do not withhold excess of water, so that you may prevent the growth of herbage.
