حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ،
بْنُ بِلاَلٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
‏
“‏ نِعْمَ الأُدُمُ – أَوِ الإِدَامُ – الْخَلُّ ‏”‏ ‏.‏

‘A’isha reported Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying:The best of condiments or condiment is vinegar.
