Hadith An-Nawawi's 5

On the authority of Aishah, who said : The messenger of Allah said: "He who innovates something in this matter of ours that is not of it will have it rejected." narrated by Bukhari and Muslim

And in one version by Muslim it reads :

"He who does an act which our matter is not [in agreement] with will have it rejected."

Important Information: This is an unauthorized modified version of an English translation of the book. The original English translation was published by : the International Islamic Federation of Students Organizations translated by Ezzeddin Ibrahim and Denys Johnson-Davies.
